Modash Alternatives in 2026: 8 Influencer Search Tools Compared

Modash costs $199–$299 a month. Compare 8 alternatives on price, platforms, fake-follower checks, email limits and free trials, checked October 2026.

Kolect Research Team · 21 min read
Short answer

The best Modash alternative depends on what you need beyond search. For a cheaper all-in-one suite, look at Heepsy (free plan; from $69/month billed annually) or Influencity (from $158/month annually). For deeper fraud analytics, HypeAuditor. For Shopify, affiliate and payouts at scale, GRIN or Upfluence. For TikTok, Instagram and YouTube search and vetting only, Kolect (from $7.20/month). For TikTok-only campaigns, TikTok One. Modash starts at $199/month billed annually.

Key takeaways
  • Modash Essentials costs $299 a month, or $199 a month billed annually, for 300 opened profiles and 150 email unlocks a month (October 2026).
  • Modash's fake-follower score covers Instagram only; its TikTok and YouTube profiles don't include it.
  • Free tiers: Heepsy, Favikon, GRIN and Kolect. Self-serve trials: Modash (14 days), Influencity (7 days), GRIN (30-day Starter). HypeAuditor and Upfluence set trials up after a demo or call.
  • Kolect starts at $7.20 a month with search-result emails included, but has no CRM, outreach, payments or audience demographics.
  • Before paying for any tool, run the same three briefs and look up ten creators you already know during the trial.

Every price and feature on this page was checked on the vendor's own pricing pages, product pages and help centers on 15 October 2026. Database sizes are each vendor's own claim, quoted rather than audited. Kolect publishes this page and is one of the eight options; it gets the same "watch out for" treatment as the rest.

Modash alternatives compared at a glance

Modash is a Shopify-first influencer platform for finding, managing, tracking and paying Instagram, TikTok and YouTube creators. The table puts it next to eight tools that compete for the same buyer, ordered by published entry price. Prices are list prices in USD unless noted, as of October 2026.

How to read the database column: the vendors count different things. Modash counts every public profile over 1K followers on its three platforms, while GRIN counts creators in its own opted-in network, so the figures can't be compared like for like230. Favikon prices in euros; €199 is about $223 and €159 about $178 at the European Central Bank's 14 October 2026 reference rate40.

What does Modash do best, and what does it cost?

Modash is strongest when you run creator programs on Shopify and want discovery, CRM, inbox, content tracking and creator payouts in one tool. That is a real advantage; most alternatives below cover only part of it.

  • Discovery: "380M+" profiles of creators with more than 1K followers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, 37 filters, AI Search in natural language, image search and lookalikes by content or audience1.
  • Audience data: the age, gender, location and interests of a creator's followers, before you send an email3.
  • Workflow: an influencer CRM, a Gmail or Outlook inbox, templates, sequences, up to 100 personalised bulk emails a day, and automatic content tracking; creators don't have to sign up for anything1.
  • Shopify and payouts: gifting, discount codes, tracking links and sales attribution through Shopify on every plan, and creator payments to 180+ countries in 36 currencies1.
  • Who it's built for: Modash's own page describes the best fit as teams working with 20+ creators a month3.

Modash pricing as listed on 15 October 2026; the page says the "price goes up based on usage"1. The data API is a separate product: the Discovery API starts at $16,200 a year and the Raw API at $10,000 a year5. The free trial runs 14 days with no card, and includes 20 profile views, 6 email unlocks and 10 tracked creators1.

Why do teams look for a Modash alternative?

Most teams look elsewhere for one of five reasons: the price floor, Instagram-only fake-follower scores, capped email unlocks, a platform Modash doesn't cover, or a TikTok-only strategy.

  1. The entry price is high if you only need search. Essentials costs $199–$299 a month whether or not you use the CRM, inbox and Shopify features1.
  2. Fake-follower scores are Instagram-only. Modash's help center says fake-follower detection and audience credibility scores are currently available for Instagram, and TikTok and YouTube profiles don't include this data4.
  3. Email unlocks are capped: 150 a month on Essentials, 400 on Performance and 6 in the trial1.
  4. Some platforms need another tool. LinkedIn (Heepsy, Favikon), X and Twitch (HypeAuditor, Upfluence) and Pinterest (Upfluence) aren't among Modash's three161127.
  5. TikTok-only programs that end in paid ads. TikTok One sends creator posts straight to TikTok Ads Manager for Spark Ads36.

The second point matters more than it sounds for TikTok-first brands. In Kolect's own creator database, 15.8% of 235,232 TikTok accounts and 11.7% of 153,414 YouTube channels with 5,000+ followers have median views below the warning line Kolect's authenticity check uses for their size; for a TikTok account with 100K followers, that line is 3,000 views per video10. Low views against followers isn't proof of bought followers (inactive audiences and reach drops cause it too), but it is the first thing a vetting step should flag. Modash profiles still include performance data for TikTok and YouTube creators, so you can do that arithmetic by hand (the free engagement rate calculator compares views per follower with creators of the same size); you just don't get a score14.

What does each entry plan actually include?

Entry prices only become comparable once you look at what each plan meters: profiles, search results, credits or email unlocks. Here is what the cheapest paid plan of each tool gives you per month, as listed on 15 October 2026.

Tool and entry planPriceWhat you get each month
Kolect Light69$7.20/mo, or $72/yr300 credits (about 600 creators in results); emails of search results free; 20 free authenticity checks a day
Heepsy Starter16$89/mo, or $69/mo annually5K results, 100 advanced profiles, 300 outreach emails; exporting contact details needs Plus ($199/mo, or $149/mo annually)
Influencity Discover21$198/mo, or $158/mo annually2,500 results and 25 insight tokens on monthly billing (5,000 and 30 on annual); 1 user; CRM and outreach start at Professional
Favikon Core24€199/mo, or €159/mo annually500 credits: 1 per creator in search results, 2 per lookalike, 3 per email
GRIN Starter29$200/mo2,000 credits that meter Gia's work; unlimited CRM; affiliate links and codes
Modash Essentials1$299/mo, or $199/mo annually300 opened profiles, 150 email unlocks or exports, 100 tracked creators, 2 seats
HypeAuditor Basic12from $299/mo500 creator analyses, 10 advanced reports, 1,000 contact unlocks, 1 user, basic filters, no lookalike search, 1 active campaign
Upfluence Find26custom quoteNo usage limits published

A quick way to use this table: if your bottleneck is how many creators you can look at, compare results and profile allowances. If it is contacting them, compare email unlocks. If you will run whole campaigns inside the tool, compare seats, tracked creators and which plan unlocks outreach.

Kolect: AI creator search and vetting from $7.20 a month

Kolect Creator Search is an AI creator search tool for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube: you describe the creators you want in one sentence, it turns that into filters you can edit, and each result shows why it matches and its matching videos8. Plans run from Light at $7.20 a month (a launch offer against a regular $9, 300 credits) to Max at $799.20 (75,000 credits); 1 credit shows 2 creators, searches with no results and repeat views are free, yearly billing gives 2 months free, and one-time credit packs start at $24 for 1,000 credits that never expire6.

  • Best for: founders, small brand teams and agencies that mainly need TikTok, Instagram and YouTube shortlists with contact emails and a quick authenticity check, and that send outreach from their own inbox. Also teams that want to search from Claude or another AI assistant: the MCP server, command-line tool and skill work on free accounts too, at website prices9.
  • Stronger than Modash on: price ($7.20 vs $299 billed monthly); trying it without an account; emails of search results that cost nothing beyond the search; and an authenticity estimate on TikTok and YouTube as well as Instagram, 20 free checks a day681.
  • Watch out for: three platforms only; no published database size; no CRM, outreach sequences, content tracking, Shopify integration or creator payments in the self-serve product; no audience age, gender or interest breakdowns; no creator rate data. The 0–100 score is an estimate from six public signals (views to followers, engagement, following to followers, likes to views, view consistency and audience location), not a follower-by-follower audit8.
  • Pick Modash instead if: you want CRM, inbox, Shopify attribution and payouts in one tool, or audience demographics on every shortlist.

If you would rather not run outreach yourself, the Kolect team also runs creator programs end to end, from strategy and a vetted shortlist to rates, contracts, delivery and creator payment, with you approving the creators and the content (managed service).

Heepsy: the cheapest all-in-one suite, with a free plan

Heepsy is a self-serve influencer platform that covers search, outreach, CRM, content tracking and creator payments across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn16. Its free plan has no time limit: 500 results and 10 advanced profiles a month, with AI, lookalike and text search. Starter costs $89 a month (or $69 a month billed annually) and adds 300 outreach emails a month; Plus costs $199 (or $149) and adds contact-detail export, creator payments and an audience authenticity filter; Advanced costs $299 (or $229)16.

  • Best for: small teams on a budget that want outreach and a CRM inside the tool, and anyone who needs LinkedIn creators.
  • Watch out for: contact information is only available on the Plus and Advanced plans18; there is no trial of paid plans, since every sign-up starts on the free plan19; the stated database ("20M+") is much smaller than Modash's claim17.
  • Pick Modash instead if: you want the larger stated database and a Shopify-first workflow with gifting, codes, affiliates and payouts to 180+ countries in one place.

Influencity is an influencer management platform that combines discovery, audience analytics, CRM, outreach, campaign management and creator payments, with filters built around a creator's audience rather than the creator's own location22. Discover costs $198 a month or $1,900 a year; Professional $398 or $3,816; Business $1,398 or $13,420; every plan has a 7-day trial20.

  • Best for: agencies and brands that filter by audience age, gender and location, and that plan to grow into CRM, sequences and Shopify tracking in the same tool.
  • Watch out for: Discover is search-only (no CRM or outreach until Professional, no Shopify or payments until Business), and contact details are unlocked with insight tokens, 25 a month on Discover's monthly billing21. Its database figure varies by page: "350M" on the search page, "200M+" on the homepage2223.
  • Pick Modash instead if: you want a Shopify gifting and payouts workflow at the entry plan rather than at Business pricing.

Favikon: for B2B and LinkedIn creators

Favikon scores creators across nine networks with a strong B2B focus, and runs search through an AI agent called Favy25. Its authenticity score combines five weighted signals into a score out of 100 and, by Favikon's own description, is built for LinkedIn and X; on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok it shows audience demographics instead25. The free plan gives 15 credits a month; Core costs €199 a month (€159 billed annually) for 500 credits; Pro costs €299 (€239) and adds Claude and ChatGPT access over MCP24.

  • Best for: B2B brands working with LinkedIn and X creators.
  • Watch out for: credits drain fast when you pull emails (3 credits each); Core lists search across 5 platforms; and creator payments are "not yet" supported24. Trial wording differs by page: a free plan on the pricing page, a 7-day trial on the homepage25.
  • Pick Modash instead if: your creators are consumer Instagram, TikTok and YouTube creators and you want Shopify and payouts.

GRIN: an AI agent that runs Shopify creator programs

GRIN now sells "GRIN with Gia": you describe your customer, and its AI agent sources and scores creators from GRIN's network ("700K+ transaction-verified creators") on what they actually sold, returning a shortlist within 24 hours31. Every plan includes unlimited CRM, affiliate links, discount codes and GMV tracking; payouts run through a funded escrow wallet and Stripe2932. Free is $0 with no card, Starter $200 a month, Growth $500 and Scale $1,000, all month-to-month, plus a 30-day Starter trial29.

  • Best for: Shopify and DTC brands that want an agent to run sourcing, outreach and affiliate payouts, and that care more about proven sales than reach.
  • Watch out for: the pool is GRIN's opted-in network rather than every public profile; credits meter Gia's work; and GRIN's own pages disagree on the free plan's allowance (50 credits on the pricing page, 200 monthly Gia credits on its creator-search page)2931. Its free credibility tool checks Instagram, TikTok and YouTube creators, 5 reports per user33.
  • Pick Modash instead if: you want to search the open universe of public profiles with filters and lookalikes rather than delegate sourcing to an agent.

HypeAuditor: the deepest fraud and audience analytics

HypeAuditor is an influencer analytics and campaign platform built around fraud detection: it claims "227.3M+ accounts" across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and Twitch, with AI Search and an "AI Scout" that turns a brief into a shortlist11. Its Audience Quality Score (AQS) runs from 1 to 100 and combines 15 metrics in four groups: engagement rate, the share of real people among followers, follower-growth anomalies and comment authenticity14.

  • Best for: agencies and brands where fake engagement is the main risk, teams that need X or Twitch creators, and teams that also want competitor and market analysis.
  • Watch out for: the pricing page shows only a demo booking form13. HypeAuditor's own comparison pages put Basic at $299 a month, with 1 user, basic search filters, no lookalike search and 1 active campaign; a tailored trial follows a sales demo12.
  • Pick Modash instead if: you want self-serve monthly billing with lookalikes and the full filter set on the entry plan.

Upfluence: e-commerce and affiliate programs on an annual contract

Upfluence is an influencer marketing platform with affiliate and e-commerce tools, an AI agent called Jaice, a "14M+ creators" database across six platforms, and profile data that lists audience authenticity and fraud signals27. Pricing is custom-quoted by module (Find, Scale, Autopilot): Scale adds CRM and e-commerce integrations (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Amazon), Autopilot adds creator payments; Upfluence takes no percentage of sales26. Emails come mainly from creators' public bios28.

  • Best for: mid-size and large e-commerce brands running affiliate programs that want account management and can commit to a year.
  • Watch out for: no published prices, a trial only after an initial call, and a 12-month minimum contract26.
  • Pick Modash instead if: you want to start self-serve, month to month, with published prices.

TikTok One: the native option for TikTok-only campaigns

TikTok One is TikTok's own creative platform for advertisers; it absorbed TikTok Creator Marketplace. Brands search TikTok creators by creator country, followers, language, audience age and gender, median views and engagement rate, and see a "collaboration evaluation score" on each profile; AI search is available to select customers only35. Creators are invited to projects inside the platform, and their posts can be synced to TikTok Ads Manager for Spark Ads36. TikTok pays creators under flat-fee, revenue-share or combined models38.

  • Best for: brands running TikTok-only creator campaigns that end in Spark Ads.
  • Watch out for: TikTok creators only; you can only search creators in your current region; business verification comes first and can take up to 3 business days3637. The help pages checked don't describe a fake-follower check or creator emails, and don't publish a subscription price.
  • Selling through TikTok Shop? Affiliate collaborations run separately, from the Find creators page in Seller Center39.
  • Pick Modash (or another third-party tool) instead if: you also work with Instagram or YouTube creators, or you need emails to reach creators outside TikTok.

How to choose: a decision guide by team, budget and platform

Start from the job you need done, not the feature list: if your team will send outreach from Gmail, you don't need to pay for an inbox; if you pay creators in many countries, payouts inside the tool save real time.

Three quick filters narrow the list further:

  • Platforms: LinkedIn points to Heepsy or Favikon; X to HypeAuditor, Upfluence or Favikon; Twitch to HypeAuditor or Upfluence; Pinterest to Upfluence; TikTok-only to TikTok One.
  • Workflow: if you need CRM, inbox and payouts in one tool, shortlist Modash, Heepsy (Plus), Influencity (Business), GRIN or Upfluence (Autopilot). If you only need to find, vet and email, a search tool is enough.
  • Commitment: to avoid an annual contract while you test, stay with monthly plans (Kolect, Heepsy, Influencity, Favikon, GRIN, Modash). Upfluence requires 12 months26.

How to test any influencer search tool in a free trial

A trial is only useful if you test the tool on your real work and compare tools on the same inputs. This takes about two hours per tool.

  1. Write three real briefs before you start: one easy (a big market and niche), one narrow (for example, home-cleaning creators in Germany with 20,000–100,000 followers), and one in a non-English market you plan to enter.
  2. Pick ten creators you already know: five who worked well for you and five you rejected for weak or suspicious audiences. These are your answer key.
  3. Budget the trial's limits. Modash's trial allows 20 profile views and 6 email unlocks, so spend them on your briefs and answer key, not on browsing1. Heepsy's free plan allows 10 advanced profiles a month19.
  4. Run each brief and score the first 20 results as relevant or not. Note how many filters you had to fix by hand.
  5. Look up your ten known creators. Count how many the tool finds, and check whether its authenticity verdict agrees with what you know, on each platform you use (Modash scores Instagram only; Favikon's score targets LinkedIn and X)425.
  6. Check freshness: for five creators, compare the follower count and latest post date with the live profile.
  7. Measure email coverage: of your best 20 creators, how many have a usable email, and how much of your monthly unlock or credit allowance did that use?
  8. Export a list with the columns your team needs, and note whether exports consume credits or unlocks.
  9. Work out cost per usable creator: monthly price divided by the creators per month that pass your checks and have an email. This number, not the database size, is what you are buying.
  10. Read the cancellation terms before the trial ends. Modash's monthly plans cancel immediately and annual plans run to the end of the term1; Heepsy has no annual lock-in16; Upfluence has a 12-month minimum26.

Keep the results in one sheet so the comparison is fair:

Kolect vs Modash: side by side

Kolect is the cheaper choice for finding, vetting and emailing creators; Modash is the more complete choice for running the whole program on Shopify. Here is the head-to-head, as of 15 October 2026.

If your shortlist comes mostly from TikTok, Instagram and YouTube and outreach goes from your own inbox, the gap in price is hard to ignore. If you need the CRM, Shopify and payouts, Modash does more for the money than stacking separate tools would. How we compared these tools

Every price, limit and feature above comes from each vendor's own pricing page, product pages or help center, opened on 15 October 2026 and linked in the sources. Where a vendor states different figures on different pages, the pricing page wins and the conflict is noted. We did not run hands-on tests of each tool for this article, and database sizes are the vendors' claims, not audited counts. Review-site ratings are left out because we could not verify them first-hand on the day.

The TikTok and YouTube views figures come from Kolect's operating creator database: the share of accounts with 5,000+ followers whose median views divided by followers sit below the warning threshold of Kolect's fake-follower check for their follower band (TikTok n = 235,232; YouTube n = 153,414; metrics refreshed September to October 2026). It is one signal, not a fake-follower rate, and the database holds creators indexed for brand campaigns rather than a random sample10.

Kolect publishes this page. Modash, HypeAuditor, Heepsy, Influencity, Favikon, GRIN, Upfluence and TikTok One are trademarks of their owners. Spotted something out of date? Email hello@kolect.ai and we'll correct it.

To try the search-and-vet approach on your own brief, run a search in Kolect Creator Search without an account, or compare plans and credit packs.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Modash?

It depends on what you use Modash for. For a cheaper all-in-one suite, Heepsy (from $69 a month billed annually, with a free plan) and Influencity (from $158 a month annually) are closest. For deeper fraud analytics, HypeAuditor. For Shopify, affiliate and payouts at scale, GRIN or Upfluence. If you only need to find, vet and email TikTok, Instagram and YouTube creators, Kolect starts at $7.20 a month. Prices as of October 2026.

How much does Modash cost per month?

As of October 2026, Modash Essentials costs $299 a month billed monthly or $199 a month billed annually ($2,388 a year), with 2 seats, 300 opened profiles and 150 email unlocks a month. Performance costs $599 monthly or $499 a month billed annually. Enterprise starts at $14,700 a year. Modash's API is priced separately, from $10,000 a year.

Is there a free alternative to Modash?

Several tools have permanent free tiers, all with small allowances. Heepsy's free plan gives 500 search results and 10 advanced profiles a month. Favikon's gives 15 credits a month. GRIN has a $0 plan with a limited credit allowance. Kolect lets you see 5 creators without an account and gives 90 credits on sign-up. Modash itself offers a 14-day trial rather than a free plan.

Does Modash check fake followers on TikTok and YouTube?

Not as of October 2026. Modash's help center says fake-follower detection and audience credibility scores are available for Instagram only, and TikTok and YouTube profiles don't include this data. You can still compare views with follower counts yourself, or use a check that covers those platforms, such as GRIN's free credibility tool (5 free reports) or Kolect's 0–100 authenticity estimate (20 free checks a day).

Kolect vs Modash: which should I choose?

Choose Modash if you want discovery, CRM, a Gmail or Outlook inbox, Shopify attribution and creator payouts in one tool, plus audience demographics; it starts at $199 a month billed annually. Choose Kolect if you mainly need to find, vet and email TikTok, Instagram and YouTube creators: it starts at $7.20 a month, includes emails of search results and checks authenticity on all three platforms, but has no CRM, outreach or payments.

Does Modash have a free trial?

Yes. Modash offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. The trial lets you open 20 influencer profiles, unlock 6 creator emails and track 10 creators, so plan the test around a few real briefs rather than browsing. After the trial, plans are billed monthly or annually and can be cancelled at any time.

Which Modash alternative is best for TikTok?

For TikTok-only campaigns that end in Spark Ads, TikTok One is the native option: TikTok's own creator data, in-platform invites and creator payments, after business verification, with search limited to your region. If you also work with Instagram or YouTube creators, or need their emails for outreach outside TikTok, use a third-party tool that covers all three, such as Kolect, Modash, Heepsy or Influencity.
