You control whether Kolect can access a connected TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube account. Disconnecting stops future collection. You can also ask us to delete data previously obtained through that connection.
1. Disconnect inside Kolect
- Sign in to your Kolect creator workspace.
- Open your profile and find the connected social accounts section.
- Select Disconnect next to TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube and confirm.
Kolect removes the active connection and stops future refreshes from that platform. Disconnecting does not delete your account on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube.
2. Revoke access on the platform
You may also revoke Kolect directly from the platform that authorized access:
- TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services permissions.
- Instagram / Meta: Facebook or Instagram Settings → Apps and websites, then remove Kolect.
- YouTube / Google: Google Account third-party connections, then remove Kolect's access.
Platform menu names may change. Revoking access stops Kolect from making new API requests for that account.
3. Request deletion of stored data
Email hello@kolect.ai with the subject Kolect data deletion request. Include the email address used for your Kolect account and the platform or account handle you want removed. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or other login credentials.
We may ask for limited information to verify that the request comes from the account owner. We will acknowledge verified requests and complete deletion of covered data within 30 days.
4. What deletion covers
A verified deletion request covers, as applicable:
- OAuth access and refresh tokens held by Kolect.
- Connected platform account or channel identifiers.
- Imported profile, content, audience, and analytics data associated with the connection.
- Derived creator analytics and media kit data that depend on the deleted connection.
Limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, audit, or dispute resolution. Those records are access-restricted and deleted or de-identified when no longer required. Backup copies roll off through our normal backup cycle, generally within 90 days.
5. Delete your Kolect profile
To request deletion of your entire Kolect creator profile, use the same email process and say that you want your Kolect profile deleted. This removes your profile and all connected-account data covered by the request, subject to the limited retention described above.
