Is the Kolect Chrome extension free?
Yes. Installing it and reading a profile's numbers are free. Finding similar creators uses credits like a search on the website (1 credit shows 2 creators); you can try it once without an account and see the top 5, and new accounts get 90 free credits.
Which sites does it work on?
TikTok, Instagram and YouTube profile pages. It doesn't run anywhere else.
Do I need an account?
Not to read a profile's numbers or to try find-similar once. Seeing bio emails, saving creators, every similar-creator result and CSV downloads need a free Kolect account: sign in on the website once and the extension picks it up.
Is the engagement rate exact?
No, it's an estimate. On TikTok the panel works it out from the profile's total likes, videos and followers, because the profile page doesn't show each video's likes; Instagram and YouTube profiles don't show total likes, so it's left out there. Kolect search measures engagement from recent posts, so the two can differ.
What does it read, and what does it keep?
Only the profile you have open, and only when you open the panel: it doesn't scroll, open other pages or load anything extra from the platform. The bio email is shown in the panel and isn't uploaded or stored. When you save a creator, their profile link and numbers go into your Kolect collection. Full policy: app.kolect.ai/privacy/extension.
