Best Influencer Marketing Platforms for Small Business in 2026, Compared

Influencer marketing platforms for small businesses compared on vendor prices, free plans, trials, contracts and entry-plan features, checked October 2026.

Kolect Research Team · 12 min read
Short answer

For most small businesses, the best influencer marketing platform is the cheapest one that covers the step you cannot do by hand. If you mainly need to find and vet creators, a low-cost search tool such as Kolect or Heepsy's free plan is enough. Shopify stores running affiliate programs can start with the free-to-install Shopify Collabs app. Brands that want search, outreach, CRM and payments in one place should compare Modash Essentials and GRIN Starter, and check contract terms before committing.

Key takeaways
  • Decide which job you are buying for: finding creators, managing them, or paying and tracking them.
  • Entry prices on vendor pages range from free plans to custom quotes with a 12-month minimum.
  • Several free options exist: Heepsy's and GRIN's free plans, Kolect's free credits, Shopify Collabs and the platforms' own marketplaces.
  • Database size claims are not comparable; ask how fresh the numbers in search results are.
  • For a small brand, a monthly subscription competes directly with creator fees, so start cheap and upgrade when volume demands it.

Small businesses choosing an influencer marketing platform face two problems: every "best platforms" list is written by a vendor, and most lists quote prices nobody has checked. This comparison covers the platforms a small brand can actually sign up for, with prices, free plans, trials and contract terms taken from each vendor's own pages on 16 October 2026, plus what each entry plan includes and who should pick each one.

Disclosure: Kolect, which publishes this page, makes one of the tools compared. We say where competitors are stronger, and every claim about another product links to that vendor's own page.

Influencer marketing platforms for small businesses, compared (October 2026)

All prices are list prices in USD from vendor pages checked on 16 October 2026; "annual" means the monthly equivalent when billed yearly. Rows run from the lowest published entry price to the highest; platforms that do not publish prices come last.

How we compared them

We compared platforms on what a small business pays and gets on day one, not on feature counts. Each row was checked on the vendor's own pricing or help page on 16 October 2026.

  1. Published price and free option. Can you see the price and start without a sales call?
  2. Contract. Monthly, quarterly, annual or a 12-month minimum.
  3. What the entry plan includes. Search, contact emails, outreach, CRM, payments and tracking on the cheapest paid plan, not the top one.
  4. Data freshness. How old the follower and view numbers in search results are, which decides whether your shortlist and prices are right.
  5. Who it fits. The type of small business each tool suits best.

We left out review-site scores, and we left out tools whose current prices or terms we could not verify on the vendor's page that day (see the end of this page).

What does a small business actually need from a platform?

A small business needs a platform for the step it cannot do by hand, and for most small brands that is finding and vetting creators, not managing hundreds of them. Influencer platforms do three jobs, and few small brands need all three at once:

JobWhat it coversDo you need a platform?
Find and vetSearch by country, niche and size; contact emails; fake-follower checksYes, once you need more creators than you can find by hand, or several platforms
Contact and manageOutreach sequences, inbox, CRM pipeline, briefsOnly when you contact dozens of creators a month; a shared inbox and spreadsheet work until then
Pay and trackCreator payments, gifting, affiliate links and codes, sales trackingYes if you pay many creators or run an affiliate program; otherwise codes and UTM links are enough

Remember that the subscription competes with creator fees. In Kolect-run campaigns, the median agreed fee for one collaboration with a micro creator (10K–100K followers) was $4003, so Modash Essentials at $199 a month billed yearly4 costs about half a micro-creator collaboration every month. That can be worth it, but only when the tool saves more than it costs.

The platforms, and who should pick each

Kolect

Kolect is a creator search tool: you describe the creators you want in one sentence, it turns that into filters, and every result shows why it matches, its matching videos and a 0–100 authenticity score, with followers and views refreshed before each result is shown2. Contact emails are included on every plan, and 20 fake-follower checks a day are free1. Light costs $7.20 a month on monthly billing, and credit packs that never expire start at $24 for 1,000 credits1.

  • Who should pick it: small brands that mainly need to find and vet TikTok, Instagram and YouTube creators and send outreach from their own inbox.
  • Where others are stronger: the self-serve product has no outreach sequences, CRM pipeline, creator payments or performance tracking, and no audience demographics; Modash, Heepsy and GRIN cover more of the workflow. Kolect also runs a managed service, where the Kolect team handles outreach, contracts, delivery and creator payment2.

Heepsy

Heepsy is a creator search tool with built-in outreach, and its free plan includes 500 search results and 10 advanced profiles a month6. Starter costs $89 a month, or $69 a month billed annually, and adds outreach emails; contact-details export and creator payments start on Plus at $199 a month or $149 billed annually6.

  • Who should pick it: brands that want a free plan to browse results, or that work with LinkedIn creators as well as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Where it falls short: on Heepsy's pricing page, contact emails are included only for advanced profiles you have unlocked6, so the free plan is for browsing more than outreach.

Modash

Modash combines search with a CRM, Gmail or Outlook inbox integration, content tracking and a Shopify integration on its Essentials plan, which costs $299 a month or $199 a month billed yearly4. Essentials includes 150 unlocked creator emails a month and is aimed at campaigns with up to 100 creators4.

  • Who should pick it: e-commerce brands that run creators every month and want search, outreach and tracking in one tool.
  • Where it falls short: the entry price is high for a first test, and the 150-a-month email cap4 limits large outreach rounds. Our Modash alternatives page compares it in detail.

GRIN

GRIN is a creator management platform built around Shopify, with CRM, outreach drafted by its Gia assistant, escrow payments to creators through Stripe and automatic post tracking on its Starter plan7. Starter costs $200 a month plus a 10% management fee on wallet deposits, with a 30-day free trial that bills automatically afterwards; the $0 plan carries a 20% fee and does not allow exporting creator lists or emails7.

  • Who should pick it: Shopify brands that want to pay creators, send gifts and track posts from one place, and that pay creators through the platform anyway.
  • Where it falls short: the wallet fee adds to every creator payment, and annual billing is not available on self-serve plans7.

Shopify Collabs

Shopify Collabs is Shopify's free-to-install app for affiliate and gifting programs: you recruit creators through an application page or direct invites, give them personalised links and codes, send gifts and pay commissions through your Shopify bill8. Automatic commission payments carry a 2.9% processing fee, and commissions go through a holding period that defaults to 30 days9.

  • Who should pick it: Shopify stores that want to pay creators on commission rather than flat fees.
  • Where it falls short: it is for Shopify stores only and centres on affiliate programs, so you still need another way to find creators who are not already your fans.

Insense

Insense is a marketplace for creator content and UGC, with Meta partnership ads connections; the Brand plan costs $500 a month billed quarterly or $400 a month billed annually, plus a 10% marketplace fee on creator payments, which are budgeted separately10. Its trial costs from $650 for one month, covers up to 10 creators and upgrades to the quarterly Brand plan unless cancelled at least 48 hours before it ends10.

  • Who should pick it: brands that mainly want ad-ready creator videos for Meta and TikTok ads and prefer hiring through a marketplace.
  • Where it falls short: there is no monthly plan after the trial, so it is a commitment for a first test.

HypeAuditor

HypeAuditor is a discovery and vetting platform that advertises a 227.3M+ database with 35+ filters11; its discovery filters include audience location, and it says its data updates weekly, more often for high-activity accounts12. Its pricing page offers free media plans, campaign management and demo versions of other features, but shows no plan prices11.

  • Who should pick it: brands that need deeper audience and fraud analysis than a public-signal estimate before they spend.
  • Where it falls short: without published prices, you need a demo or sign-up to learn the cost. Our HypeAuditor alternatives page covers the options.

Upfluence

Upfluence is an all-in-one suite with a 14M+ creator database and e-commerce integrations including Shopify and Amazon; prices are custom-quoted, the trial is set up after an initial call, and the minimum contract is 12 months13.

  • Who should pick it: growing e-commerce brands ready to commit for a year to run affiliate and creator programs at scale.
  • Where it falls short: the 12-month minimum13 is a poor fit for a small business still testing whether creators work for it.

NoxInfluencer

NoxInfluencer is a creator search and ranking tool covering YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Twitch, with TikTok Shop rankings; its FAQ says data updates daily and that the free trial is available to all users who sign up, with advanced features behind a demo request14. Its pricing page did not show plan prices when we checked14.

  • Who should pick it: brands that want creator rankings by platform and a TikTok Shop view alongside search.
  • Where it falls short: without visible prices, budgeting needs a call or sign-up.

Best free influencer marketing platforms

The free options worth trying are the platforms' own marketplaces and the free tiers of third-party tools. Free plans trade money for limits, so use them to test a workflow, not to run a program.

  1. TikTok One. TikTok's own marketplace lets brands filter creators by country or region, follower count and language, and audiences by country, age range and gender ratio16. Creators are paid online by TikTok or offline by you15. Our TikTok One guide covers access and costs.
  2. Instagram's creator marketplace. Brands can search for creators, filtering for creator and audience attributes; in February 2024 Meta began expanding it beyond the US to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Japan, India and Brazil17.
  3. YouTube Creator Partnerships. Formerly BrandConnect, it is available to advertisers in Google Ads and Display & Video 360 and uses Gemini to help advertisers discover creators18.
  4. Heepsy Free. 500 results and 10 advanced profiles a month6.
  5. GRIN Free. $0 a month with a 20% fee on wallet deposits, 2 live campaigns and 1,200 creator searches a month7.
  6. Kolect Free. 5 creators without an account, then 90 credits on sign-up; 1 credit shows 2 creators, and contact emails are included1.
  7. Shopify Collabs. Free to install for Shopify stores8.

Free trials of paid plans: Modash 14 days without a card, limited to 20 profile views and 6 email unlocks4; GRIN Starter 30 days7; NoxInfluencer on sign-up14.

Pair any of them with Kolect's free fake follower checker, engagement rate calculator and influencer rate calculator to vet creators and sanity-check quotes.

Database size or freshness: what to compare

Database size claims are not comparable, because vendors count different things; freshness of the numbers you see is what changes your decisions. Vendors' own statements, as of 16 October 2026:

PlatformDatabase claimFreshness statement
Kolect300M+ creator library2Followers and views refreshed before each result is shown2
Modash380M+ profiles (350M+ elsewhere on the same page)4Search results updated within 2 weeks; unlocked profiles every 2–4 weeks5
HypeAuditor227.3M+ database11Weekly, more frequent for high-activity accounts12
Heepsy20M+ creators6Not stated on pricing page
Upfluence14M+ creators13Not stated on pricing page
GRIN700K+ creators7Not stated on pricing page
NoxInfluencerNot stated on pricing pageData updated daily, per its FAQ14

Ask any vendor the same question before you buy: how old are the follower and view counts in the search results I am looking at?

Which platform should a small business choose?

Choose by the job you need done and how many creators you will work with each month.

Whichever you pick, start on the free tier or the shortest billing period, run one campaign, and upgrade only when volume makes the manual steps slower than the subscription is expensive. Tools we left out

Collabstr is a popular opt-in marketplace for small brands, but its pricing page could not be loaded on 16 October 2026, so we did not quote its fees; check them on its site. WotoHub's homepage did not show product or pricing details we could verify. Enterprise suites that only quote prices after a sales call were left out, except Upfluence, which small brands often ask about.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best influencer marketing platform for a small business?

It depends on the job. For finding and vetting creators on a small budget, a search tool with a free tier or low entry price (Kolect, Heepsy) is usually enough. For running outreach, a CRM and payments in one place, Modash Essentials or GRIN Starter fit better. Shopify stores that pay creators on commission can start with Shopify Collabs, which is free to install.

What is the best free influencer marketing platform?

Heepsy has a free plan with 500 search results and 10 advanced profiles a month. GRIN has a $0 plan with a 20% management fee on wallet deposits. Kolect shows 5 creators without an account and gives 90 credits on sign-up. Shopify Collabs is free to install for Shopify stores. TikTok One, Instagram's creator marketplace and YouTube Creator Partnerships are the platforms' own tools.

Which influencer marketing platforms have a free trial?

As of October 2026, Modash offers a 14-day free trial without a credit card, GRIN's Starter plan has a 30-day free trial that bills automatically afterwards, and NoxInfluencer says its free trial is available to everyone who signs up. Insense sells a paid one-month trial, and Upfluence sets up a trial after an initial call.

How much do influencer marketing platforms cost?

On vendor pages checked in October 2026, entry paid plans ranged from $7.20 a month (Kolect Light, monthly) and $69 a month billed annually (Heepsy Starter) to $199 a month billed annually (Modash Essentials) and $200 a month plus a 10% wallet fee (GRIN Starter). Upfluence quotes custom prices with a 12-month minimum, and HypeAuditor's pricing page shows no prices.

Do I need an influencer marketing platform at all?

Not for a first test with five to ten creators: manual search on TikTok and Instagram, a spreadsheet and free vetting tools are enough. A platform starts paying for itself when you contact dozens of creators a month, work across several platforms or countries, or need to pay many creators and track their sales.

What is the difference between an influencer search tool and an influencer marketplace?

A search tool is a database of public creator profiles you filter and contact yourself; any creator can be found. A marketplace lists only creators who signed up and lets you post a brief, receive applications and pay through the platform, usually for a fee on each payment. Search tools give a bigger pool; marketplaces give faster, simpler hiring.
