Finding influencers on TikTok is easy to start and hard to do well: the app shows you thousands of creators, but not their audience's country, their typical views or what they charge. This guide covers the six ways brands find TikTok influencers to work with in 2026, from free in-app search to TikTok One, TikTok Shop's affiliate tools and creator search tools, then shows what TikTok creators cost in each market, how to vet them, and how to reach them. The numbers come from TikTok's own documentation and from Kolect's data on 894 agreed TikTok creator deals1 and 251,098 TikTok accounts2.
How do you find influencers on TikTok?
You find TikTok influencers in six ways: search the app yourself, use TikTok One's creator marketplace, use TikTok Shop's Find creators page if you sell on TikTok Shop, use a creator search tool, start from a ranked list for your country and niche, or hire an agency. Most brands combine two: one native TikTok program plus one tool or list that covers several markets.
| Method | Cost | Best for | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| In-app search (keywords, competitors, hashtags, comments) | Free | First 10–20 creators in one market | No filter for creator country, size or views |
| TikTok One creator marketplace | No subscription price listed; creators are paid per project, by TikTok or by you8 | Brand campaigns, approvals and Spark Ads in one place | Only creators who joined; separated by region; AI search for select customers7 |
| TikTok Shop Seller Center: Find creators | Commission you set, from 1% to 80% of GMV12 | Affiliate sales of specific products | Only for live TikTok Shop sellers in that market |
| Creator search tool | From $7.20/mo (Kolect Light)5 | Many creators across markets, with contact emails | Data quality and freshness differ by vendor |
| Ranked lists by country and niche | Free | A fast shortlist in one market | Lists favour the largest reach, not the best fit |
| Agency or managed service | Fee or margin on creator spend | No in-house time, several countries at once | Least control over who is picked |
Step 1: Decide what the creator is for
Decide the job before you search, because TikTok has three distinct kinds of creator work and each is found and paid differently. A brand that wants awareness, a TikTok Shop seller that wants sales and an advertiser that wants ad creative should not use the same shortlist.
| Goal | How creators are paid | Where to look first | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brand content (awareness, launches) | Flat fee per video | In-app search, TikTok One, search tools | Median views, audience country, content fit |
| TikTok Shop affiliate sales | Commission per order (1%–80% of GMV), optionally a flat fee for video and free samples12 | Seller Center's Find creators page | Shoppable-video history, product fit, stock |
| Ad creative for Spark Ads | Fee plus usage rights and an authorization code | Any of the above | Willingness to authorize; on-camera delivery |
Spark Ads let you run a creator's organic post as an ad with their authorization, and engagement on the ad accrues to the original post13. Ad rights are now standard in paid deals: in Kolect-run campaigns, 80.4% of single-post agreed deals across platforms included paid-usage, whitelisting or ad-code rights1. Put the authorization period in the brief before you talk price.
Method 1: Search TikTok yourself
In-app search is free and is the best way to see how a creator actually talks about a category. It is slow beyond 10–20 creators because TikTok does not let you filter users by country, follower count or views.
Search in this order, because the first queries have the highest hit rate:
- The problem your product solves, in the language of your market ("small apartment storage", "sensitive skin routine"), then open the Users tab.
- Competitors' brand names and their product names, to find creators who already post about your category; check they are not under exclusivity.
- Category hashtags and "#ad" variations (for example a category hashtag plus #ad), which surface creators who already take paid work.
- Comment sections of large creators in the niche, where smaller creators often comment; their profiles are one tap away.
TikTok's Creator Search Insights, which shows the topics people search for and "content gap" topics with few videos, is a tool for creators rather than a creator directory15. It is still useful to brands as a way to find the search phrases worth typing into the steps above.
For every candidate, write down the median views of the last 12 videos and the follower count. The vetting section below explains what those two numbers tell you.
Method 2: Use TikTok One's creator marketplace
TikTok One is TikTok's own platform for finding creators, running projects and syncing creator videos to ads; it absorbed TikTok Creator Marketplace. Brands can search by keyword or username and filter by creator country, follower count, language, audience country, age and gender, and performance metrics including median video views and engagement rate7.
You need a TikTok for Business account, and TikTok asks you to verify it to access all features and reports9. Three limits to plan around, as of October 2026:
- Creator information is separated by region. Your account shows creators in its registered region, and you switch region from a drop-down to see other markets10; a multi-country launch means working market by market.
- AI search is limited. "Search with AI" is available to select customers only7.
- Only enrolled creators appear. Creators must be at least 18, live where TikTok One has launched and have at least 1,000 followers to join brand projects11. Creators outside TikTok One can only be reached through an invite link7.
TikTok One is the strongest option when you want TikTok's first-party audience data, in-platform approvals and a direct path to Spark Ads. Every TikTok One project also switches on the branded-content disclosure automatically14. Our TikTok One creator marketplace guide covers access, verification, payment and Spark Ads step by step.
Method 3: Find TikTok Shop affiliate creators in Seller Center
If you sell on TikTok Shop, Seller Center has its own creator search: the Find creators page lets you search, filter and invite creators to a target collaboration for specific products12. This is the fastest route to creators who already sell through shoppable videos.
How a target collaboration works, per TikTok's help center12:
- Pick the products and set a commission between 1% and 80% of GMV for each12.
- Invite creators one at a time or in bulk, set the collaboration length and the content you want.
- Optionally offer free samples, set per product.
- Choose commission-only (creators are paid only on sales, videos need no review) or a flat fee, which requires creators to submit videos for review in an agreed timeframe and is available for video only.
Affiliate creators and brand-content creators overlap less than you might expect. A creator who sells well through TikTok Shop may not suit a launch film, and a strong storyteller may have no shoppable-video history. If you need both, run the two searches separately.
Method 4: Use a creator search tool
A creator search tool is a database of public creator profiles you filter by platform, country, niche, follower range and engagement, with contact details on each creator. It is the quickest way to build a list of 50–500 TikTok creators across several countries, and to reach creators who are not enrolled in TikTok One or Seller Center.
Compare tools on what you act on, not on database size:
| What to check | Why it matters on TikTok |
|---|---|
| Freshness of followers and views | TikTok accounts can gain or lose reach within weeks; stale numbers mean wrong shortlists and wrong prices |
| Search method | Keyword filters miss creators who never use your words; sentence search can match by what creators actually film |
| Country and language filters | TikTok's own search has neither; they decide whether a list is usable for one market |
| Contact emails and price per creator | Emails decide whether you can reach creators outside TikTok's programs |
Kolect is one option: it searches a database of 300M+ TikTok, Instagram and YouTube creators from one sentence, refreshes each result's followers and views before showing it, and shows why each creator matches, their matching videos and a 0–100 authenticity estimate4. You can see 5 creators without an account, get 90 credits on sign-up (1 credit shows 2 creators), and paid plans start at $7.20 a month; viewing emails and exporting CSV are free5. Where it is weaker: Kolect has no audience demographics, no creator rate data and no built-in outreach or payments, which TikTok One and suites such as Modash cover. Our Modash alternatives page compares the tools.
A workflow that suits any tool:
- Paste a one-line brief as the search: "TikTok micro-creators in Germany who review budget home-espresso gear."
- Tighten the filters (country, follower range), then run similar-creator search on your best two or three matches.
- Save several times more creators than you need, vet the list, and export the survivors with their emails.
Method 5: Start from a ranked list for your country and niche
Ranked lists are the fastest way to see who leads a niche in one market. Kolect's top TikTok influencers lists rank creators by typical reach for each country and niche, and include only active creators who passed a fake-follower check and a brand-safety screen; they are refreshed weekly6. Examples: skincare creators in Japan, tech creators in the UAE, gaming creators in the United States and pet creators in Brazil.
Use a list as a seed, not as the shortlist. The top of any ranked list is the most expensive and most contacted part of a niche; similar-creator search from those seeds usually finds smaller creators with a better fee per view.
Method 6: Hire an agency or managed service
An agency finds, vets, contacts and contracts TikTok creators for you and manages delivery and payment. It fits when you lack the hours for outreach across time zones or are entering several countries at once.
Ask any agency how it sources creators (a database, TikTok One, or a fixed roster), whether you approve every creator and every video, and whether you see the creator's fee separately from the agency margin. Kolect also runs a managed service in which its team handles strategy, a shortlist with authenticity checks, outreach, rates and contracts, delivery and creator payment, with the brand approving creators and content4.
How to find TikTok influencers in a specific country
To find TikTok creators in one market, filter by the creator's country and language, then confirm where their audience is before you pay. Market matters for budget as much as for fit: in Kolect-run campaigns, median TikTok fees were in a narrow band across most regions, but what the fee bought in views varied several-fold.
TikTok creators by region: agreed fee, cost per 1,000 views and views per follower (Kolect deal and creator data, 2025–202612)
| Creator region | Median agreed fee (n deals) | Median fee per 1K average views | Median views ÷ followers (n accounts) |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | $450 (578)1 | $43.381 | 11.34% (132,670)2 |
| Canada | $600 (29)1 | $22.271 | 18.89% (5,115)2 |
| UK & Ireland | $500 (37)1 | $12.051 | 14.42% (20,988)2 |
| Western & Northern Europe | $504 (51)1 | $9.581 | 23.78% (36,421)2 |
| Southern Europe | $381 (35)1 | $12.721 | 22.20% (15,417)2 |
| Latin America & Caribbean | $350 (76)1 | $6.791 | 10.25% (15,876)2 |
| Middle East, North Africa & Türkiye | $1,300 (29, 5 brands)1 | $10.581 | 23.65% (4,431)2 |
| East Asia | fewer than 20 deals1 | fewer than 20 deals1 | 35.43% (4,873)2 |
| Southeast Asia | fewer than 20 deals1 | fewer than 20 deals1 | 17.23% (2,369)2 |
How to use the table:
- Budget per view, not per creator. A US TikTok creator's median fee bought far fewer views than the same money in Western Europe ($43.38 against $9.58 per 1,000 average views)1; if your product ships to several markets, compare cost per view before you pick where to start.
- Expect lower reach per follower in the US and Latin America. Median views were 11.34% of followers for US creators and 10.25% for Latin American creators, against 23.78% in Western and Northern Europe2.
- Confirm the audience, not just the creator. A creator based in one country can have an audience elsewhere. Ask for a screen recording of the Followers tab in TikTok Studio, which shows where followers are.
- Work region by region in TikTok One. Creator information there is separated by region10, so run one search and one project per market.
The regional cells rest on smaller samples outside the US (29–76 deals), so treat them as a starting estimate and replace them with your own quotes after the first campaign.
How to vet a TikTok creator before you reach out
Vetting a TikTok creator means checking that people actually watch, react and live in your market. Start with views per follower, because it is the fastest signal and the one TikTok accounts fail most often.
Median TikTok views per follower by follower tier (Kolect creator database, refreshed Sep–Oct 20262)
| Tier | Median views ÷ followers |
|---|---|
| Nano (<10K) | 31.59%2 |
| Micro (10K–100K) | 17.47%2 |
| Mid (100K–500K) | 10.89%2 |
| Macro (500K–1M) | 7.89%2 |
| Mega (1M+) | 5.14%2 |
Reach falls as accounts grow, and low reach is common: 15.8% of TikTok accounts with 5K+ followers in Kolect's database had median views below Kolect's size-adjusted warning line2. The checklist:
- Views per follower against the tier median above; far below it means much of the following no longer watches.
- Engagement per view, not per follower. Many guides quote a "5–8%" engagement range for TikTok micro creators calculated per follower16; in Kolect's data the median for micro creators was 7.60% per view but 1.03% per follower2. Use per-view figures, and compare like with like.
- Comments: real questions and specific reactions, not emoji and repeated praise.
- Audience country: language, captions, comments and a TikTok Studio screen recording should match your shipping market.
- Past sponsored posts: look for the "Paid partnership" label and compare those videos' views with the creator's organic ones.
- Brand safety: scroll back three months for content that conflicts with your brand.
Run suspicious accounts through Kolect's free fake follower checker, compare engagement with peers in the engagement rate calculator, or follow the full method in how to identify fake followers.
How much do TikTok influencers charge?
In Kolect-run campaigns, the median agreed TikTok fee per collaboration was $450 across all tiers, rising from $138 for nano creators to $1,000 for creators with 1M+ followers1. The cost per 1,000 views moves the other way, which is why mid-tier and larger creators often buy reach more cheaply.
Agreed TikTok creator fee by follower tier (Kolect deal data, Aug 2025 – Oct 20261)
| Tier | Median fee per collaboration (n) | Median fee per 1K average views |
|---|---|---|
| Nano (<10K) | $138 (66)1 | $196.501 |
| Micro (10K–100K) | $300 (281)1 | $52.361 |
| Mid (100K–500K) | $500 (351)1 | $16.341 |
| Macro (500K–1M) | $550 (99)1 | $13.021 |
| Mega (1M+) | $1,000 (97)1 | $6.851 |
| All tiers | $450 (894)1 | $23.111 |
Expect first quotes well above these. The median TikTok creator's latest asking price was $1,166 across all negotiations, against a median agreed fee of $4501; most of that gap is selection, because high quotes are the ones that do not close. After delivery, the median TikTok sponsored partnership in Kolect-run campaigns drew 52,903 views in roughly its first month, at a median realized cost of $6.73 per 1,000 views3. Our influencer rates guide breaks prices down by country and niche, and the influencer rate calculator checks a quote in seconds.
How to contact TikTok influencers
Contact TikTok creators where they do business: the email in their bio (or a search tool's public contact email), a TikTok One invitation for enrolled creators, or a Seller Center invitation for TikTok Shop deals. DMs work for small creators but are easy to miss and hard to track.
A first message that gets answered:
- One line on why them: a specific video of theirs and why it fits.
- The offer: product, deliverable (one video, length), usage rights and Spark Ads authorization period, fee or commission, and timeline.
- What happens next: shipping the product, a short brief, approval before posting.
- One follow-up after four or five days if there is no reply.
Follow-ups are normal practice: Kolect's team sent 346,738 outreach emails to 162,576 creator accounts over the past year, about two per creator reached1. And plan volume: across Kolect-run campaigns, 69,474 creator negotiations led to 1,867 closed deals1, so a shortlist should be many times longer than the number of creators you want to sign.
Ask creators to switch on TikTok's content disclosure setting for paid posts; TikTok requires it when a video promotes a brand, product or service, and it adds a label such as "Paid partnership" so viewers can tell commercial posts from organic ones14.
Checklist: your first TikTok creator campaign
- Write the job (brand content, TikTok Shop sales or Spark Ads creative) and the market.
- Write a one-line creator brief: country, niche, follower range, proof of fit.
- Source a long list from two methods: one native (TikTok One or Seller Center) and one cross-market (a search tool or ranked list).
- Vet on views per follower, engagement per view, comments and audience country.
- Price on cost per 1,000 views against the tier and region tables above.
- Send specific offers with usage rights and timelines; follow up once.
- Require disclosure, collect Spark Ads authorization codes, and compare delivered views with the benchmark.
To start the long list now, search Kolect free with your brief as the first query, read the broader guide on how to find influencers, or browse more guides on finding and vetting creators.
Methodology
Kolect's figures come from three first-party datasets. Deal data covers creator-campaign negotiations in Kolect-run campaigns created between 19 August 2025 and 15 October 2026, excluding test campaigns and test creators; fees are what creators were paid, converted to USD at one exchange-rate snapshot, and regional cells with fewer than 20 deals are not reported. Creator benchmarks come from TikTok accounts in Kolect's operating creator database, refreshed September–October 2026. Delivery data covers published TikTok partnerships with captured metrics, November 2025 – October 2026. The sample reflects Kolect's own campaigns, concentrated in consumer tech, home, DIY and lifestyle products and mostly US and European creators. No brand or creator is identified.
