GRIN changed how it sells in 2026. It now publishes self-serve, month-to-month plans from $0 to $1,500 a month, with an AI agent called Gia that searches, drafts outreach and builds campaigns1. Many “GRIN alternatives” pages were written for the old sales-led GRIN, so their prices and contract terms no longer match. This page compares GRIN as it is sold in October 2026 with four alternatives, using each vendor’s own pricing page, and says plainly when GRIN is still the better choice.

How much does GRIN cost in 2026?
GRIN lists four self-serve plans billed monthly, plus Enterprise1:
| GRIN plan | Monthly price | Management fee on wallet deposits | Creator searches a month | Gifts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 20% | 1,200 | 10 in total |
| Starter | $200 | 10% | 12,000 | 100 a month |
| Growth | $500 | 7% | 36,000 | 300 a month |
| Scale | $1,500 | 5% | 120,000 | 1,000 a month |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom |

Every plan includes unlimited CRM contacts, Gia chat, Shopify, affiliate commissions and payouts through an escrow wallet; exporting creator lists and contact emails starts on Starter1. The self-serve plans are month to month with no contract; Enterprise needs an annual agreement1.
The fee matters more than the subscription once you pay creators through GRIN. A brand on Starter that deposits $5,000 a month for creator fees pays $200 plus 10% of $5,000, or $700 a month in total; on Scale the same month costs $1,500 plus $2501. Run that sum with your own creator budget before you compare list prices.
Why do brands look for a GRIN alternative?
The reasons we see in the queries people search fall into four groups:
- Search reach. GRIN’s agent searches its own network of creators who joined GRIN2. Tools that index public profiles search far more accounts (380M+ claimed by Modash, 300M+ by Kolect)37.
- The deposit fee. A percentage of every wallet deposit adds up as creator spend grows1.
- Only part of the job. Teams that run outreach in their own inbox and pay creators by invoice may only need search, vetting and emails.
- Price checks after the relaunch. People searching “GRIN pricing reddit” are often comparing old quotes with the new public plans.
Modash: the closest like-for-like swap
Modash combines search, a CRM with Gmail or Outlook inbox integration, content tracking, Shopify gifting and, on Performance, payments and affiliate management3. It claims 380M+ profiles of creators with over 1K followers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube3. Essentials is $2,388 a year ($199 a month) for up to 100 creators, with 300 opened profiles and 150 unlocked emails a month; Performance is $5,988 a year ($499 a month) with 0% on payments and affiliates up to $10,000 a year and 5% after3. A 14-day trial needs no card3.
- Best for: teams that want GRIN’s workflow (CRM, gifting, payouts) with a much larger searchable index.
- Watch out for: monthly caps on opened profiles and email unlocks; payouts only on Performance and up.
- Pick GRIN instead if: you want an agent to run outreach and campaign building, or you prefer creators who have already opted in to brand work. More options: Modash alternatives.
Upfluence: for larger programs with payments and tax forms
Upfluence sells custom-quoted plans with a 12-month minimum contract and a fixed platform fee, with no percentage of sales4. All plans include its 14M+ creator database; Shopify, WooCommerce and Amazon integrations and affiliate tools start on the middle tier, and the top tier adds Upfluence Pay, multi-currency payouts and automatic 1099 and W-9 forms4.
- Best for: established e-commerce programs that want creator payments and US tax paperwork handled in one place.
- Watch out for: no published prices, a sales call before a trial and a year-long commitment.
- Pick GRIN instead if: you want to start month to month without a sales process. See Upfluence alternatives.
HypeAuditor: analytics-led discovery
HypeAuditor leads with data: a 227M+ creator database with 35+ filters, audience, performance and fraud insights, campaign tracking, media plans and competitor analysis, with influencer payments via PayPal5. Its pricing page asks for a demo rather than listing prices; free sign-up gives media plans, campaign management and demo versions of other features5.
- Best for: teams that judge creators mainly on audience data and want market and competitor reports too.
- Watch out for: you need a sales conversation to see prices.
- Pick GRIN instead if: gifting, Shopify and affiliate payouts matter more than audience analytics. Compare it with Modash in Modash vs HypeAuditor, or see HypeAuditor alternatives.
Kolect: find and vet creators for a fraction of the cost
Kolect does one part of what GRIN does, and does it cheaply: finding and vetting creators. You describe the creators you want in a sentence; every result’s followers and views are refreshed before it is shown, with a match reason, matching videos and a 0–100 authenticity estimate7. Contact emails of search results are included, and plans run from Light at $7.20 a month (300 credits, 600 creators shown) to Max at $799.20, or credit packs from $24 that don’t expire6. The same search works from Claude, Codex and other AI assistants on every plan, including free8.
- Best for: brands that run outreach from their own inbox and want a large, fresh TikTok, Instagram and YouTube search without a platform fee.
- Watch out for: the self-serve product has no outreach sequences, CRM pipeline, gifting or creator payments. If you want those handled, Kolect’s managed creator marketing service runs outreach, contracts, delivery and payment for you.
- Pick GRIN instead if: you want one tool for the whole program, with Shopify gifting and payouts.
How to choose a GRIN alternative
- List the jobs you need software for: search, vetting, outreach, gifting, payments, affiliate tracking.
- Price a real month. Add subscription plus any percentage fee on your creator spend; GRIN’s fee runs 5–20% of deposits, Modash’s payouts are free up to $10,000 a year on Performance13.
- Check contract terms: GRIN, Modash and Kolect sell monthly; Upfluence needs 12 months4.
- Trial with your own brief. Run the same search in two tools and compare how many usable creators you get.

How to move off GRIN without losing anything
Most problems in a switch come from what is still open in the old tool. Work through it in this order:
- Settle the wallet. Check the balance and which creators are still owed money, and pay open collaborations before you cancel.
- Export creators and history. Download creator lists, contact emails, past rates and content links. The Free plan doesn’t export lists or emails1, so do this before you downgrade.
- Check discount codes and affiliate links. If creators’ codes or links run through GRIN’s Shopify connection, confirm they keep working, or issue new ones in Shopify and tell the creators.
- Keep contracts. Usage rights and ad permissions in signed contracts don’t change with your software, but save copies for renewals and paid amplification.
- Run both for a month. Search the same brief in the new tool and compare usable creators before you switch fully.

How we compared these tools
We read each vendor’s own pricing page and homepage on 22 October 2026 and used only what they state. Database figures are vendor claims, not measurements. Where a page doesn’t list something, we say so rather than assume it is missing. Review-site scores are left out of the tables.
If finding creators is the part you need, you can try Kolect’s creator search without an account.
